Care Accolade Awards
Friendship Care and Housing (Friendship) walked away triumphant from the (Thursday 14th March) Skills for Care Accolades ceremony held at the Park Plaza Victoria Hotel in London by winning the ‘Best Provider of Learning and Development’ category.
The judging panel applauded Friendship on clearly recognising the value of a skilled and competent workforce and giving staff a platform and voice through the various practices within the organisation, which ultimately empowers them to provide high quality care and support services. The learning culture created by Friendship not only impacts on employees but also people who use their services. They have access to learning and development opportunities which enables them to pursue knowledge and skills to support their independence.
Friendship, were also runners up in the category for ‘Best Employer of over 250 staff’. They were highly commended as an organisation where people who use the services are actively involved, listened to and who help shape services.
Mark Askey, Director of Care and Resources at Friendship said “It’s was a fantastic evening we’re all extremely proud of our achievements. We have some of the most generous spirited, committed and capable staff who work with more than 800 service users across the midlands and we’re thrilled to accept this prestigious award on their behalf.”
