Capita’s Domestic Violence Conference focuses on the challenges of tackling domestic abuse, bringing together key agencies and service providers to prepare for and address recent and impending policy reform.  Fundamental changes set for 2013 include the introduction of two new stalking criminal offences from November 2012 and the Domestic Violence definition being extended to include young people under 18 from March 2013. 

Highlights include an update on victim protection and the developments of Domestic Abuse Disclosure Schemes and Domestic Violence Protection Orders (DVPO), alongside findings from a new perpetrator programme pilot and recognition of the role integral agencies can play in the provision of support services.
