24housing Retrofit Best Practice Award 2010: How to enter

24housing is inviting you to enter your flagship retrofit projects in our Retrofit Best Practice Award 2010.

We know there is some ground-breaking, cost-effective and easy to replicate work going on across the UK as social landlords take a pro-active lead in the retrofit and refurb movement. Now is your chance to share your achievements with the rest of the sector, through 24housing magazine and online at www.24dash.com. The winner will receive a specially-commissioned recycled trophy.

What are we looking for?
We want to hear about the retrofit projects you’re proud of, from the creative upgrade of a single property, to large scale regeneration. Size doesn’t matter! We are looking for simple, innovative and efficient retrofit projects – with elements that can be easily adapted by other landlords.

Who can enter?
This competition is open to all registered social landlords, including housing associations, local authorities, ALMOs, co-operatives and charities. Your retrofit project must either be underway, or complete.

How to enter
We’re keeping it simple. On no more than one side of A4, you will be asked for a general overview of your project, as well as brief criteria like cost-efficiency, CO2 reduction, resident engagement and creativity. Deadline for completed entries is March 11th 2010.
