A craze spreading across the County has had an especially warm welcome at local firm allpay - the company which manufactured the 10,000 Truffle Herefordshire Cards.
The “Truffle Truck” rolled up to the company’s premises in Whitestone on Friday to celebrate the launch of the Card with two of its founders – Heather Gorringe and Luke Conod.
allpay’s catering team had created some beautiful handmade chocolate truffles to make the event an even bigger hit with staff, though they didn’t need much encouragement when they saw the rewards on offer!
Luke, one of the creators of the Truffle Card, and owner of a number of retail businesses in Hereford, commented:
“We were thrilled to be invited to allpay and it was great to see the buzz that the Truffle Herefordshire card created amongst their staff. allpay has produced the cards for us and it gave us a good indication as to the popularity of the scheme. The truffles were a particularly special touch!”
allpay’s Managing Director, Tony Killeen raised a toast to the Card, saying:
“Being part of the Truffle Card scheme is an honour and we’re looking at ways to be more involved. We’re passionate about Herefordshire and believe customers and business can reap the rewards of promoting the cards. More than 60 of our staff have signed up already and I’ve made sure there’s one in my wallet too!”
