In these hard financial times it is good to see two local businesses supporting each other. The Courtyard, Herefordshire’s Centre for the Arts, works hard all year round to provide quality entertainment and vital cultural projects to the local community. This year the Senior Youth Theatre production of The History Boys (29 to 31 July) has been given an additional boost by another local company - allpay.

The fast growing payment solutions company, allpay, is based in Herefordshire and employs nearly 200 people from the area. Marketing communications manager at allpay Rebecca White comments, "As one of the UK's fastest growing companies and one of Herefordshire's leading employers, allpay is committed to managing its growth responsibly so it can continue to make a positive contribution to the community and to the environment. We like to be involved in all areas of the community and by sponsoring the Senior Youth Theatre’s production of The History Boys we can go on to play a part in supporting the arts in Herefordshire."

allpay are already members of The Courtyard’s thriving Business Club and sponsored the Intermediate Youth Theatre’s hugely successful production of The Wizard of Oz in 2009.

"As a charity, we’re always very grateful for the support of local business and pleased to be working with allpay on The History Boys." Says Melanie Denning, one of The Courtyard’s business development managers. "By joining forces with employers in the area we open up the communication channels and find ways to cross-promote our products and services. For example, the cast recently went and performed a scene from their new show at allpay’s summer ball – the guests loved the entertainment, the actors performed in a new space and the show gained invaluable publicity."

The History Boys promises to be a great show with tickets on sale at £10 each with concessions £9. You can book now by calling the box office on 01432 340555 or by visiting http://www.courtyard.org.uk

Please note: The Courtyard has given The History Boys a recommended age of 16 and above due to strong language.
