London, UK – 12 February, 2010 – NHS Northamptonshire has become the first health sector organisation to adopt Coactiva Aspiren's Aspireview Performance Management solution.

NHS Northamptonshire is leading a county-wide effort to increase the Quality, Innovation, Productivity and Prevention (QIPP) of the services received by its patients. Aspireview will allow NHS Northamptonshire to track the changes and help drive these improvements for its population. NHS Northamptonshire will also use Aspireview to deliver key performance indicators to help keep its position as one of the top performing Primary Care Trusts in the Country.

Paul Birch, Associate Director of Performance and business intelligence at NHS Northamptonshire, said, "Aspireview provides us with an excellent solution to support our performance teams so they can focus attention where it is required. The tool assists us in our proactive approach to managing performance and underpins our cycles of continuous improvement."

NHS Northamptonshire is responsible for commissioning Healthcare services for 685,000 citizens across Northamptonshire. Its main aims are:

  • To reduce overall mortality - adding years to life
  • To help people to live healthier lives and improve their well being
  • To improve patient satisfaction with NHS services

Matthew Spilsbury, Programme Support Manager for cancer at NHS Northamptonshire, added: ''Aspireview brings our various strands of performance management together in one central place enabling staff to gain immediate access to vital information.”

Ray Fielding, CEO of Coactiva Group, commented: "We are delighted to move into the health sector with the signing of our first customer, NHS Northamptonshire. Our innovative technology has complemented NHS Northamptonshire’s aims to drive service delivery with exceptional results."

Following the acquisition of Aspiren (Company number: 4152031) by SunGard in 2007, the Aspiren business traded as a separate legal entity within the SunGard group until December 2009, at which point it was merged into SunGard Public Sector and traded as a separate business unit under SunGard Public Sector until November 2010.  In November 2010 the Aspiren business was acquired by coactiva and the business resumed trading as a separate entity under coactiva ownership.
