Anglian Building Products has been awarded the final phase of the window contract by Mansell Construction Services Ltd at RAF Lakenheath’s new build project of service family accommodation ‘ Liberty Village’.

As part of a phased £127m accommodation redevelopment programme; 606 new service family dwellings are being created by Mansell on a 74-acre site set within the Suffolk countryside.

Anglian has successfully been appointed on all five phases to install PVCu windows and patio doors to one of the Defence Estates biggest construction programmes being undertaken in the UK.

RAF Lakenheath’s Liberty Village development was split into five phases to minimise disruption to the day to day operations and service personnel living and working within the base.

Following their performance on the Liberty Village project, Anglian now forms part of Mansell Construction Services, East Anglia Region Premier Supply Chain.

A Mansell spokesperson commented: “The products supplied by Anglian for this ‘flagship contract’ have been of a high quality and meet the demanding standards determined by Defence Estates which are over and above those of a traditional building contract.”
