Sutton Council’s environmental call centre team is the best in London, according to an annual mystery shopping survey.
Sutton came first out of 18 London councils in the poll conducted by Customer Services for London Group.
Sutton’s environmental contact centre team, who deal with more than 22,000 calls each month, were judged by a panel of experts on call handling, knowledge, customer satisfaction and professionalism. The mystery shopping exercises were carried out in the first two weeks in October and the team expertly dealt with 170 mystery shopping calls in that time. Questions covered a wide range of subjects from abandoned cars to bonfires.
Cllr John Drage, Executive Member for Resources said: “This achievement is a tribute to the professionalism, expertise and outstanding customer service our call centre gives Sutton residents. I want to thank the team for all their hard work and dedication.”
