Working in partnership with the Early Childhood Unit at NCB, Participation Works now offers access to information on listening to young children, and enabling young children's participation in decisions that affect their daily lives to inform planning, development and delivery of services.
The Early Years ‘topic’ will be of particular interest to those whose role is to ensure young children's voices help shape services used by young children and their families. This includes early years practitioners, advisers and participation officers who support those working with children aged birth to five. The Early Years ‘room’ highlights relevant resources, events and training and aims to become a source for examples of effective practice in developing and embedding a listening culture within early childhood services.
Participation Works is a consortium of six national children’s charities aiming to enable organisations to effectively involve children and young people in the development, delivery and evaluation of services that affect their lives.
The Participation Works online gateway for children and young people's participation is a hub for information, resources, news and networking on the involvement of young people in dialogue, decision making and influence across a wide range of settings.
