Motorists and pedestrians will soon benefit from multiple improvements to Spalding's High Bridge.
Work starts from 8am on Monday 14 July to refurbish traffic signals, de-clutter the area of superfluous signage and traffic signal heads and resurface and widen the footways.
Widening of the north footway is designed to accommodate pedestrians, buggies and scooters with greater safety and both footways over the bridge will be resurfaced using Yorkstone.
A priority right turn will also be added for motorists travelling from High Street who wish to turn right over High Bridge.
During the work, which is scheduled to take approximately six weeks, High Bridge will be closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
Diversions for each approach route will be signposted in advance of the area and pedestrians will be advised as to the route they should take to cross the river.
