The London Assembly was dramatically suspended today when the Mayor lost his temper in the face of persistent questioning about the London Development Agency (LDA) and his key adviser, Lee Jasper.
The Mayor, Ken Livingstone, lost his temper as Conservative members and others questioned him about Lee Jasper’s involvement in LDA decision-making.
Commenting, Conservative Group leader, Richard Barnes AM, said: “Clearly the six police investigations, the questions that the Assembly keeps asking and the close scrutiny of the press are all starting to get to the Mayor.
“He’s lived his political life casting himself as some kind of Robin Hood. Well, I think, as it becomes clear that this is just a cynical act Londoners will begin to see the power-hungry primadonna that he really is.
“And still we wait for straight answers from Ken Livingstone on the London Development Agency and Lee Jasper.”
