Career boost for new NWH apprentices

North Wales Housing has taken on two new apprentices as part of its commitment to supporting local youngsters into employment.

 Ryan Rowlands, 19, and Jordan Roberts, 18, have been appointed as Personnel Apprentice and Apprentice Joiner respectively. Ryan will be based at the organisations Plas Blodwel head office in Llandudno Junction working with the Personnel team whilst Jordan will train with the maintenance division, carrying out repairs across the NWH property portfolio encompassing  Denbighshire, Conwy, Gwynedd and Anglesey.The two new recruits will join John Jones, a third apprentice who is now almost half way through his Gas Engineer placement period.

North Wales Housing employ around 150 people directly and is committed to recruiting and training locally, creating job opportunities under a range of disciplines.

Lynne Wiliams, Personnel Manager at North Wales Housing said: “We have chosen to go down the route of employing apprentices as we understand the difficulties in the current climate for young people to find employment. 

"North Wales Housing is an established employer within the area and we have highly experienced staff as well as long standing relationships with local colleges, which means that we can support the development of committed young people.”
