The Wrekin Housing Trust, based in the West Midlands, has recently taken over the ownership and management of two large developments in Shropshire and Staffordshire.
The Trust’s Subsidiary has purchased a development consisting of 117 homes for rent at The Hedgerows, Telford, where they had been providing repairs and maintenance services for two years before the transfer of homes. And the Trust has also taken over 214 homes across Stafford, consisting of 197 homes on the Highfields estate and 17 in the centre of Stafford.
The homes were taken over from Waterloo Homes and Places for People respectively. Consultation was held with local residents, after which The Wrekin Housing Trust was chosen as the preferred association to manage the homes. All tenants will now benefit from the Trust’s award winning services, such as a dedicated customer contact centre and full in-house repairs and maintenance service, provided 365 days a year.
The Hedgerows tenants also have a dedicated team at the Trust, whilst the Stafford homes will be managed from their local office Stafford office, which will also look after the Trust’s existing customers across Staffordshire.
The latest homes acquired by The Wrekin Housing Trust are added to a portfolio of over 11,000 homes across the West Midlands.
