The Deputy Mayor of Wolverhampton offical opens the new Community Resource Centre in All Saints
Tenants and residents in All Saints, Parkfields and Caledonia will benefit from a new Community Resource Office thanks to Wolverhampton Homes.
The office at 29 Vicarage Road, All Saints was officially opened on Friday (7 October) by the Deputy Mayor, Councillor Paddy Bradley.
Previously a shop, the Community Resource Office has been opened so that local tenants can report repairs, enquire about services or bid for a new home. No payments will be taken.
The Community Resource Office will also display information for the community on upcoming consultation events and is also being used by other organisations such as Wolverhampton City Council and local housing organisations.
The refurbishment included the flat above the Community Resource Office, which has been already been let to someone from the housing register.
Deputy Mayor, Councillor Paddy Bradley, said: “I was delighted to be invited to officially open the new Community Resource Centre for Wolverhampton Homes.
“I know it will provide a great service for the people of All Saints, Parkfields and Caledonia and I wish everyone involved in it great success.”
Mark Henderson, Director of Housing at Wolverhampton Homes, said: “We hope that tenants and residents of All Saints, Parkfields and Caledonia will find having the new Community Resource Centre a benefit to them and make the most of the services on offer.
“This opening will also have a positive impact on the regeneration of the neighbourhood and creating a sustainable community for All Saints and the surrounding areas.”
