Crime-fighting charity Crimestoppers and electrical retailer Dixons have linked up to offer rewards of up to £5,000 in an attempt to locate individuals who looted or caused damage to the company’s stores. [12 August 2011]

The rewards come as part of a £50,000 fund that Dixons has made available for information on individuals who may have attacked or looted their Currys or PC World stores.

The national retailer has linked up with Crimestoppers to allow people to provide information anonymously. Crimestoppers is a charity is not part of the police. Anybody that provides information will not have to give any of their personal details or stand up in court.
