A team sponsored by Seddon Property Services was first past the post in an arduous nine day race that included cycling from Cornwall to Scotland -  and tackling the three biggest peaks in England, Wales and Scotland.

Ten cyclists from the ‘Engage Mutual’ team travelled 1,024 miles from Lands End to John O’Groats – and climbed the three peaks of Snowdon, Scafell and Ben Nevis along the way.

Seddon Property Services sponsored the team, originally donating £1 for every mile they achieved – with a pledge from the company’s chairman Stuart Seddon to double that amount if the team came in first.

Now, after Engage Mutual Team won against four other groups, they have taken the total raised to more than £2,000.

Stuart Seddon, Chairman of Seddon Property Services, said: “This was an incredible journey, which has raised funds for a great cause and we are delighted to sponsor the team.”

The Steve Prescott foundation was first set up in 2006 by ex Rugby League player and British Lions Tourist Steve Prescott MBE.

Now dedicated to raising money and awareness, the charity donates money to the Christies Hospital and the Try Assist organisation – a charity which supports players whose lives have been seriously affected by injury while playing the game of Rugby League.
