SBHG is first in London to achieve accreditation 
Shepherds Bush Housing Group’s repairs service is the first in London to achieve HQN Accredit which recognises outstanding service.
 
HQN Accredit: DLO is the UK’s only accreditation for direct labour organisations such as SBHG’s in-house repairs service which is called Domus.
 
Sheelagh Lewis, SBHG’s repair centre manager, said: “Domus really sets new standards in repairs. We carry out more than 16,000 repairs every year for our residents and we’re delighted that their satisfaction has grown by 10%. We have one of the best repairs services in London and our accreditation is proof of this.”

HQN Accredit: DLO carried out a robust assessment of all areas of the service, including spot checks with residents. SBHG is the first repairs service in London and one of only three nationally to be recognised for the accreditation.

SBHG now benefits from recognition as an in-house maintenance provider that operates efficiently, effectively, economically and delivers excellent service to residents. It is proof that in-house maintenance teams like Domus deliver value for money for residents.

Wayne Hughes, HQN's executive director of asset management and procurement, said: “SBHG provided over 100 pieces of evidence to support the robust accreditation process, with key areas reality-checked on site. Their repairs reporting section and operatives are set up geographically, leading to high tenant satisfaction and integrated continuous improvement processes.
