A Coundon company has won a new contract the test electrical safety in Wear Valley council homes.

Delta Electrics was chosen from among several competitors for the essential safety work by housing management company Dale & Valley Homes.

The company will be working in homes throughout the area, thoroughly testing electrical circuits and part of an ongoing programme.

Kevin White, assistant director of property services for Dale & Valley Homes, said: “We have a rolling programme of testing all our properties over ten years. This contract with Delta Electrics is for one year initially and we will review it after that.

“We are looking forward to a successful and productive relationship between the two companies.”

Lee Douthwaite managing director of Delta Electrics, said: “it is a pleasure and an honour to be working with Dale & Valley Homes. We are looking forward to a long future working with them and assisting with the Decent Homes programme.”
