Angela was short-listed in the New Starter category for her contribution to the company in the last 18 months, managing contracts to replace windows and doors, inspecting the work and dealing with a workforce entirely made up of men.
She said: “I project managed the whole thing, which was the first time I had taken on that role, making sure the contractors did work in accordance with the contract terms, carried out the work to our high standards, drawing attention to substandard work and making sure problems were put right while maintaining good relations with the contractors.
“The awards night was an inspiring event with many high-achieving women there. I just feel proud to have been nominated.”
Jack Hurst, Angela’s boss, added: “Since she came to work here Angela has been a valuable and popular member of the team. She is passionate about housing, is continually learning new skills to develop her career and thoroughly deserves every success.”
