Orbit First Step is holding an open event on Saturday 27 February to showcase two affordable homes at Montgomery Gardens in Earl Shilton. The event will be open from 10 am until 3pm.

The homes include a three-bedroom, two-and-a-half storey house which features an en-suite bathroom to the main bedroom, a garden and shed. The second property is a two-bedroom flat over garage and both are available under a shared ownership scheme. This offers you the opportunity to buy a share of the property – usually funded through a mortgage – and pay a discounted rent to Orbit First Step on the remaining share. You can purchase the three-bedroom house for a minimum 25 per cent share of just £36,562.50, or £26,437.50 for the flat over garage. Purchasers can buy additional shares in the future if they wish, meaning that one day they could be the outright owner with no further rent to pay.

Built by David Wilson Homes, both properties at Montgomery Gardens include a fitted kitchen, gas central heating, a garage and shed. They are just over 18 months old and have been tenanted briefly for a period of around six months but remain in excellent condition.

During the open event, as well as a team of Orbit First Step staff, an independent financial advisor will be on hand to provide no obligation advice.

Diane Webster, Sales and Marketing Manager at Orbit First Step added: “The homes available at Montgomery Gardens present buyers with a real chance of getting onto the property ladder in a lovely village location which has much to offer.”

She added: “Many people wrongly assume that they wouldn’t be eligible for our assistance, however, as long as your annual household income is less than £60,000 we may be able to help you. The low prices of these properties reflect the fact that these are not brand new properties and offer even better value for money so if you are looking for a home in the area, and want to take advantage of lower than average monthly housing costs, then please do come along. We’re looking forward to seeing you and hope we can help you buy a home of your own.”

Additional properties area available through Orbit First Step’s shared ownership scheme at The Pastures in Swinford.
