Kiosk at First House
Stockport Homes, in partnership with Stockport Council, are pleased to announce the introduction of a touch screen kiosk at First House in Brinnington.
The kiosk provides access to a wide range of online services to enable residents to look for jobs, training courses or obtain information about ways to make the most of their money. The touch screen technology makes the kiosk easy to use without the need to have any IT skills, making sure people have access to the right information at a time and place that is convenient for them.
Amanda Green, Neighbourhood Renewal co-ordinator for Employment and Skills, from Stockport Council Neighbourhood Renewal Team said:
“The new kiosk in First House will add another dimension to the help and support that is available to enable local residents get information and advice to move on in their lives whether that’s through employment, training or continuing education, in addition to face-to-face services being delivered in First House by Work Solutions, Connexions, Stockport Council Employment and Skills Advisors and Stockport Homes.
For the new Employment and Skills advisor, operating from First House, the kiosk will be a valuable tool in their efforts to support people to make the right choices about their future.”
Tanya King, Social Inclusion Manager for Stockport Homes said:
“The kiosk is just another example of how Stockport Homes
is continuing to work with Stockport Council and partners to add
value to the services already being provided at First House. The
kiosk will be a welcome addition to the portfolio of facilities
already available at First House.”
