Housing professionals across Britain are being offered the chance
to improve their rental income performance in a new one-off seminar
being offered by Barnet Homes.
Barnet Homes has organised the event to share the secrets of its success in transforming its own rent collection to become a top performing social landlord in London.
The seminar will cover topics such as how to improve your income collection, reduce the number of court actions and evictions, as well as making efficiency savings.
The Income Collection Seminar is being held on Wednesday 10 February 2010 from 10am to 2.30pm (with lunch included) at Barnet Homes offices at Barnet House, 1255 High Road, Whetstone, London N20 0EJ.
Derek Rust, Deputy Chief Executive of Barnet Homes said: “We’re proud that Barnet Homes has substantially increased its rent collection for council homes in the borough without resorting to a higher number of court actions and evictions. This is down to a number of changes we have made, including contacting tenants as soon as they have arrears.
“With our help, Barnet tenants seem are defying the credit crunch, making us one of the best performing large social landlords in London in this area.”
There were just 12 evictions for non-payment of rent in 2008-09 – a record low for Barnet Homes – and 300 fewer legal notices served.
