A cutting edge eco-friendly development of affordable homes in Bedworth is now complete.
Housing and regeneration group LHA-ASRA has built 30 two-bedroom apartments on Park Road, on a site which previously hosted a coach depot.
To help minimise the running costs for tenants, and its impact on the environment, the development has been fitted with a cutting edge renewable energy heating system.
Air source heat pumps take heat from air outside the building and convert it to heat the homes. This is more efficient than traditional gas or electric heating systems and can save up to £870 a year on heating bills, tackling fuel poverty and reducing carbon emission by up to six tonnes a year.
William Cornall, Director of Development and Regeneration at LHA-ASRA said: “LHA-ASRA is committed to working in partnership with Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council to provide more high-quality affordable homes.”

LHA-ASRA is also building a large development of 60 homes at St Mary’s Road in Nuneaton.
The homes at Park Road, built by developer Westleigh, are in a residential area and close to schools, local shops and a doctor’s surgery.
The development meets Level 3 of the Code for Sustainable Homes, a Government standard to demonstrate how environmentally friendly a home is.
The housing association manages 5,000 homes in Warwickshire and
Leicestershire.
