Preston United team at Megazone
Two groups from Preston United had a fantastic time at Preston Megazone (Quasar laser combat) as Community Gateway Association (CGA) said a big thank you to the group for assisting in the design of the new logo and strapline for the associations customer service centre Gateway Direct.
Preston United support over 250 young people aged 5-25 providing everything from football coaching sessions to days away. The projects work is to find solutions to some of the most difficult issues facing young people such as guns, drugs and to challenge negative behaviour patterns that can lead to possibly more serious anti social behaviour issues.
The group came up with the strapline “We're here to help” and with help from staff at CGA designed the new logo.
Omar Khan, Project Manager at Preston United commented, “We work closely with CGA on a number of projects that are helping young people across Preston. The Gateway Direct project was an excellent activity for the group to be involved in, it utilised creative skills such as art and design that our young people really enjoy”
Caroline Scott, Customer Service Manager at Gateway Direct said,
“It was great working with Preston United on this project.
They really took an interest in the work we do at CGA. They came up
with some fabulous ideas. Taking them to Megazone was the least we
could do for all the effort they put in.”
