Santa delivers the key to new homes Santa delivers the key to new homes

More from Knowsley Housing Trust

Santa surprised Kirkby resident Michelle Murphy with the gift of a brand new home in Kirkby.

Michelle Murphy was one resident who has been given the keys to one of the newly built Knowsley Housing Trust (KHT) 3 bed houses on Westhead Walk in Kirkby.

The state of the art homes boast eco-friendly features such as solar panel roofs and
water butts which recycle collected rain water.

The homes cost half a million pounds to build and they were funded by investment from KHT and a grant from the Homes and Communities Agency.

Resident Michelle Murphy moved in with her son, 5 year old Leon and 13 year old daughter Abbi:

“These new houses look absolutely fantastic and I love the fact that Santa was on hand to welcome me into my new home!”

Operational Director of Regeneration Ian Thomson said:
“It is important that we keep our promises at KHT. This new development in Kirkby is one of a number of programmes across Knowsley that will deliver new homes for people. Funding of these new homes is an early Christmas present from KHT…and Santa.”
