Riverside
As the new year approaches, Riverside is reflecting on past achievements and looking forward to new challenges with the release of its second Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Annual Report.
The report highlights Riverside’s key successes over the
past year including:
• Undergoing a rebrand and amalgamation, which will generate
savings that can be invested in frontline services;
• Joining Sustainable Homes Index for Tomorrow (SHIFT), a
national benchmarking and best practice group for social landlords
to promote sustainability and energy efficiency; and
• Being reaccredited with a Big Tick by Business in the
Community for its commitment to education in Liverpool and being
shortlisted for two Sustainable Housing Awards.
The report also outlines progress in Riverside’s four key impact areas of community, environment, marketplace and workplace.
Paul Brant, Vice Chair of The Riverside Group Ltd Board and Board Sponsor of the CSR Steering Group said: “As one of the UK’s leading social housing and regeneration organisations, Corporate Social Responsibility is a natural extension of Riverside’s traditional role. It lies at the heart of our business and is synonymous with our vision, transforming lives, revitalising neighbourhoods.
“It is about embracing our wider responsibilities and looking at how we can make a positive impact on the broader community, environment and marketplace and how this can be achieved by creating a happy workplace where staff feel valued and involved.”
