Aims and objectives
The impact of the recession has contributed to homelessness becoming a key Government priority with the recognition that it requires agencies working together, sharing information and supporting the most vulnerable groups to help solve the problem.

Capita’s Homelessness Conference brings together expert speakers and practitioners to tackle these challenges and showcase practical initiatives designed to prevent homelessness and support the homeless population.

With the 2010 temporary accommodation and 2012 rough sleeping targets both on the agenda, this event offers delegates the chance to keep up to date with Government and HCA policy and learn from good practice from across the country.Case study sessions will focus on practical issues, including:

  • The implications of current homelessness legislation
  • Partnership working between housing and substance misuse services
  • Providing support for young homeless people
  • Delivering a holistic service through Enhanced Housing Options programme, including access to employment
  • Helping ex-offenders back into the housing system

Attend this event to take away ideas and initiatives to implement in your organisation and ensure you are at the forefront of tackling homelessness in your region.

Benefits of attending
