Having someone who can support you through the confusion of the benefits and grants system can really put your mind at ease. Community Gateway Association’s (CGA) dedicated welfare benefit advisors have helped customers gain over £1 million pounds in support in less than 2 years.

Filling in the numerous amounts of forms actually prevents people from claiming and residents may not know that there are other opportunities to get support from agencies such as the Royal British Legion or Friends of the Elderly.

Jackie Bird CGA’s welfare benefit advisor has seen the number of customers requiring help increase year on year and because of the success of this service CGA employed another advisor to help with the demand.

Jackie commented, “Customers who need advice and support in completing claims find it difficult when they receive the forms and some people don’t realise that they can make a claim. At CGA were here to help.”

“We have also managed to provide customers with furniture and electrical goods such as washing machines to customers who otherwise would not be able to afford such items we could not do this without the help of other agencies”
