The Apollo Group’s specialist division, Apollo Housing has been awarded an £8 million contract from Milton Keynes Council.

Apollo will drive forward the Milton Keynes’ ‘Major works to council housing stock’ programme over a four-year period.

The contract will see Apollo’s expert team working on housing across the Milton Keynes area.

Although the contract covers a wide range of housing repairs, the company will primarily be responsible for works to windows, doors, fascias, soffits and roofs.

The win comes on the back of Apollo’s successful track record in the Milton Keynes Decent Homes programme, which completes in March 2010.

The company has been carrying out works to approximately 2,000 properties on estates across the region.

Dave Sheridan, Chief Executive Officer for Apollo, said: “This win demonstrates that if you do an outstanding job for a client you are in a strong position to work with them again.

"This win is testament to the hard work and dedication of the team in Milton Keynes who have delivered the Decent Homes programme there so professionally.

"We look forward to working on this new brief.”
