A new campaign has been launched urging people of Sunderland to
report anti-social behaviour.
The “Report it” campaign has been created by people and
property business Gentoo working in partnership with Northumbria
Police and Sunderland City Council to help fight anti-social
behaviour on the streets of the City.
Gentoo Sunderland will be asking customers to come forward to
report any anti-social behaviour or suspicious activity they may
have witnessed and not to keep it to themselves.
Michelle Meldrum, Deputy Director of Gentoo Sunderland said:
“If people witness anti-social behaviour in their
neighbourhoods I would ask them to pick up the phone and let us
know. It is important that our customers know that they can
report Anti-social behaviour anonymously.
“Tackling anti-social behaviour is high on Gentoo’s
agenda and we are committed to ensuring that our communities are
safe places to live.
“The message is – “See it, Report it, Stop
it”. In doing this, you can help us to deal with
anti-social behaviour in Sunderland.. With help from residents, we
can ensure perpetrators are caught quickly and prevent an
escalation of the anti-social behaviour.”
A series of advertisements and leaflets are to be distributed
throughout the City with direct numbers for Gentoo’s
Neighbourhood Safety Team, Northumbria Police, and Sunderland City
Council’s ASB helpline.
