Peabody has today announced the appointment of Susan Hickey as Finance Director from February 2010.

Susan Hickey will join Peabody from Hastoe Housing Group, where she is Director of Resources with responsibility for finance, IT, HR and other central functions. Prior to joining Hastoe in 2005, Susan was Financial Controller of Richmond Housing Partnership. A qualified Chartered Accountant, Susan has a broad range of experience in accountancy and commerce, particularly in banking and mortgage finance markets.

Announcing the appointment, Peabody Chief Executive Stephen Howlett said:

‘We’re delighted to have found someone of Susan’s calibre. Her depth of experience and skills will help us build upon the sound financial management that has seen Peabody recently awarded the strongest possible rating for viability from our regulator, the Tenant Services Authority.’

Susan Hickey said:

‘I’m thrilled to be joining one of Britain’s most recognisable and respected housing associations. I look forward to working alongside Stephen and the Peabody team to ensure Peabody continues to lead the way developing thriving, sustainable communities in London.’

Susan succeeds Catriona Simons, who is leaving Peabody to take up the role of Deputy Chief Executive/Group Finance Director at the Guinness Partnership.
