One of the country’s best known social housing and regeneration specialists has appointed Sheryl Schiltz as Business Development Manager to support the company’s delivery of millions of pounds worth of community improvements in the East Midlands.

Sheryl, who lives in Loughborough, joins Bramall Construction to work on building new partnerships in Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Northamptonshire, Lincolnshire and Milton Keynes.

She will work to help the company develop new partnerships with the homes and Communities Agency (HCA), Registered Social Landlords, local authorities and other agencies within the region as well as looking after existing clients.

Sheryl has more than 20 years’ experience in housing development, having worked for a range of social housing providers and local authorities during her career. She had previously worked as Senior Development Manager at Midland Heart Housing Association where she played a key role in the delivery of major schemes in the East Midlands.

Before that, she was Regional Head of Development at Bromford Housing Group in Wolverhampton for nearly three years, and has worked at management level for three other housing associations from 1994 to 2004. Her early career was spent working for West Midlands Regional Health Authority and Daventry District Council.

“I’m delighted to be joining Bramall Construction at what is an exciting and challenging time for the company,” said Sheryl.

“It is my first role within the private sector and I am relishing every minute.

“I know from my time within the housing industry that Bramall has a fantastic reputation for innovation, partnership working and delivery. This is a time when housing partners need these qualities more than ever. I am looking forward to helping Bramall deliver the challenge of improving housing and communities across the East Midlands region.”

Bramall Managing Director Neil Baxter said: “We have some bold plans for the East Midlands and needed a top operator to see them turned into reality.

“I feel we have got that in Sheryl, who is a great communicator, a knowledgeable professional and – above all else – is committed to working in partnership at every level of an organisation.

“Having her on board is good news for us, our partners and the local communities in which we work. We’re really pleased to have her working with us.”
