Notting Hill Housing has received a substantial increase in its
funding from the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA).
The HCA originally allocated a total of £50.9 million for the
three financial years from 2008 to 2011.
Notting Hill has increased its development activity and has since
been allocated £151.2 million in this financial year
alone.
John Hughes, Notting Hill's Group Director of Development, is
delighted by the Group's funding success.
he said: "Notting Hill's recent track record has strengthened our
partnership with the Homes and Communities Agency. We've proved
what we can achieve for them and the confidence that they have in
us is reflected in our new funding allocations.
"We have in place the public and private finance for a substantial
three year development programme to help our local partner boroughs
meet their housing needs."
In the last financial year Notting Hill exceeded its target and
delivered more than £31m worth of affordable housing in
London.
The Group is exceeding its targets again this year, with
£63.8 million worth of approved planned developments.
Some of the developments, which will deliver more than 800 homes,
include:
- North Circular Road, Enfield (more than 400 homes)
- Colindale Hospital, Barnet (193 homes)
- Sydenham Road and Satchwell House, Croydon (60 homes)
- Coombe Lane, Merton (37 homes)
- Sunningdale, Ealing (40 homes)
- Coldharbour Lane, Brixton (108 homes).
