One hundred landlords received practical advice and information from partnering contractors on repairing and maintaining their properties at an event held by Pathmeads, part of Genesis Housing Group.

The aim of the Conference, held at Wembley Plaza on 15 October was to help Pathmeads landlords better understand current social and temporary housing issues.

The event helped cement links between the RSL and its landlords while topics discussed included acquisitions, lease renewals, solving queries, and how Pathmeads is working with local authorities to bring empty homes back into use.

While current trends in housing were addressed, there was also a focus on how Pathmeads will support its landlords in future, for example through the new Housing Association Leasing scheme Direct (HALD), which presents tenants with a wider choice of accommodation across the private rented sector.

Partnering contractors – Shenstone Services Ltd, MNM Property Services, and JOS Property Services Ltd – provided information on their high quality services and on their respective levels of service for repairs and maintenance.

Feargal Ward, Managing Director of Pathmeads, said “The Landlords’ Conference was a great opportunity for us to connect with our landlords. We were able to keep them up-to-date with current and future issues in housing and the additional support services that we provide.”

Shafqat Khawaja, a local Pathmeads landlord leasing a three-bedroom property in Brent, said "Overall, the event was very impressive and provided a great opportunity to put faces to names".
