Tenants of Dale & Valley Homes will this week receive ballot
papers to vote for their representatives on the company’s
board.
They are being urged to return the ballot papers as soon as
possible to avoid any delays caused by postal strikes.
Two of the five tenant representatives on the board have stepped
down as part of the regular rotation of members. Eight tenants have
come forward as candidates for the vacant posts.
Ballot papers are being sent out by the Electoral Reform Society on
Wednesday, October 21, and the election closes on Friday, November
13.
Details of each candidate and their supporting statements are
included with the ballot paper.
Chief Executive Peter Chaffer said: “It is very encouraging
that so many candidates have come forward. At Dale & Valley
Homes we are committed to providing customer-focussed services.
Having customers on the board helps us ensure we do this.
“We would urge all tenants to consider what each candidate
has to offer and cast their vote in plenty of time to ensure it is
counted.
“The results will be announced at our AGM on November 17,
which will be open to the public.”
Ballots should be returned to the Electoral Reform Society in the
pre-paid envelope supplied, and not sent direct to Dale &
Valley Homes.
