Residents Reveal New Rent Statement
Statements that you receive through the post can sometimes be confusing and not easy to read. Residents at Community Gateway Association (CGA) have been working closely with staff and GPS document management to produce a new statement, which has been resident led from start to finish.
Through every stage of the process a group of residents have been looking at the way the new statement looked and they also helped design a separate insert entitled “Your Rent Statement Explained” which gives customers information about the new layout so it was easy to understand.
“The previous statement was confusing for customers and lots of tenants used to have to ring up to find out what their balance was,” commented Rose Kinsella chair of CGA’s board and member of the rents sub group. “With this new statement it is easier for everyone to read, the layout is simple and we are really pleased with the result.”
Richard Smith Sales Director at GPS Document Management commented, “It has been great working with CGA on this project. Having residents involved in the process has been a unique experience for us but it has been a very rewarding one. They have given us fantastic feedback along the way and the statement is truly resident approved. ”
During the process, GPS utilised the associations profiling
information, which automatically created statements in large print,
in future statement mailings this will be taken a step further and
translated versions of the statements will be created in
CGA’s community languages’.
