As part of the Institute of Customers Services (ICS) National Customer Service Week (NCSW), colleagues at Community Gateway Association (CGA) celebrated a weeks worth of activities championing CGA’s commitment to its customers by holding a fun day on the 9 Oct.

National Customer Service Week is designed to raise awareness of customer service and the vital role it plays within an organisation. It is also an opportunity to say a big thank you to those who work in customer service for a job well done.

Sonya Roberts (Regeneration Strategy Officer) created a special NCSW themed cake and staff wore the famous “Purple” shirt, which symbolises the association’s unique commitment to customer service through its Purple People programme.

Gateway Direct, CGA’s new contact centre was the focal point of the activities, which included

• Over and Above competition
• Corporate Complaints Challenge
• Customer Profiling Quiz

At CGA’s headquarters customers were able to give feedback on their service experience and were able to enter competitions to win a food hamper and a guess the marbles in a jar contest.

“It’s been a great week,” commented Caroline Scott Customer Services Manager
“Staff and Residents have really been behind the activities and the feedback we have been given has been brilliant”
