Ascham Homes, as part of its energy efficiency programme, is proud to install its first solar panelling to run a high efficiency hot water system to a five bedroom house.

Marie Aremola, Ascham Homes’ Energy Co-ordinator said: “By installing these solar panels, not only are we helping the residents to save money on their bills, but we are also reducing carbon emissions within the borough. This is definitely a win for all concerned.”

This project is jointly funded through the Decent Homes scheme and a government grant for solar and energy related work. We are committed to providing the best energy saving solutions in delivering this programme and procuring services from local suppliers.

Ascham Homes has been nominated in two categories in this year’s Sustainable Housing Awards, the results will be announced in October 2009.
