One of the North West’s leading housing and regeneration companies has established a specific team to deal exclusively with tackling social and economic issues in the community.

Contour Homes Community Investment team comprises seven members of staff and is headed up by James Williams.

“We want to look at areas such as worklessness, community cohesion, community development and building education partnerships using both innovative as well as tried and trusted ways,” said James.

“The team has a huge amount of experience of working with local communities at a grass roots level and as well as using these skills in-house we will be providing our services to other organisations.”

Already the Community Investment Team has launched a micro website for its Very Philosophical brand, is applying for thousands of pounds in grant funding for a variety of local community initiatives and is looking at social media initiatives to skill up residents in deprived areas.

For more information about the Community Investment Team contact James Williams 0161 875 8132.
