Over 50 young Regenda Housing Group residents attended a week long summer dance school in August called ‘The Dance Splash Week’, held at the Limehurst Tenants and Residents Hall in the middle of Regenda’s Limehurst estate in Oldham.
The daily dance sessions hosted by dance organisation Total Dance, were funded from the Oldham Metropolitan Borough Council’s Summer Activities fund and were aimed at giving the 9 to 15 year olds from the area an opportunity to take part in and experience modern dance and offer a free, healthy and active summer holiday activity.
Total Dance Instructor Danny Price, said “The Dance Splash Week is over and the performance was great, viewed by lots of parents and friends. The troupe looked fab in their t-shirts and regalia!“
Helen Barnes, Regenda Regeneration Manager continued; “Due to the success of the Summer Dance Week , there will be weekly dance sessions held at the Limehurst Hall every Saturday between 11am – 12noon from 15th August through to October.”
