A new partnership set to deliver around £10million of heating, kitchen and bathroom improvements over the next five years has been launched with the signing of a partnership charter between the members.
Somer Community Housing Trust has joined forces with Redland Housing Association (another member of Somer Housing Group) to create the Somer Housing Group Heating Partnership. Together, they have selected Connaught as one of two partners to oversee improvements to Trust homes.
Connaught will be carrying out heating installations and boiler replacements for the Trust over the next five years and will focus on replacing older and less efficient heating systems. David Reynolds, Connaught Partnership Director, said: “We are delighted to commence the partnership that will make a hugely positive impact on the lives of thousands of Somer Community Housing Trust tenants. With over 25 years experience Connaught will bring the very best in customer service and our liaison officers will be on hand throughout to fully explain the various stages of the improvement programme to all tenants.”
Neil Bolton, Somer Housing Group Director of Customer Services (Property), said: "We are pleased that Connaught is working with us to continue the ongoing programme of improvements to our homes. Residents have been involved in the selection of the companies to find those who will give us good value for money and take a good approach to working with residents."
