KHT's Housing Maintenance Team recently went back to school.

Children from St Luke’s School in Whiston, have been busy working on a project about jobs. When they asked if KHT could come and talk to them about a career in housing, the Maintenance Team were delighted to oblige.

Liaison Officer Eve Whitty and electrician Derek Beesley went along to give a talk to a lively class of 6 and 7 year olds on the different types of careers available within the maintenance industry. Afterwards, many of the boys and girls said that they would like to come and work for KHT in the future.

Electronic games Beat the Buzzer and Light the Board Up were two activities that provided great fun for the kids. They were both made by Brett Miller, a 4th year Electrical Apprentice with KHT.

Eve Whitty said: "It was great to meet the children and explain to them about the type of work we do. They really seemed to enjoy themselves and so did we. We were both really pleased to be able to help them with their projects."
