Helen McHale, Chief Executive of Stockport Homes was invited to number 10 Downing Street to meet with the Prime Minister Gordon Brown along with 150 other housing professionals.

The Prime Minister shook hands with and personally thanked Helen McHale for the work Stockport Homes have done.

After being introduced by John Healey, Housing Minister, Gordon Brown took the opportunity to thank all housing professionals for the work they do. He said he was highly committed to housing since his early days in parliament.

Gordon Brown also said that he wanted to make number 10 a more open place and encouraged the guests to visit the room where the cabinet met.

Helen McHale said: “It was an interesting opportunity to see No. 10 at close hand.”
