Morrison, a leading provider of repairs and maintenance services to the social housing sector, has appointed Simon Hayes as Managing Director to oversee its southern region, including London and the South East.
Simon, a chartered surveyor by profession, joined Morrison in 2004 as a Partnering Manager. Since then, he has held several posts including Partnering Director, New Business Director and Performance Director for the UK before accepting this new role.
During the course of his career Simon has developed extensive knowledge and experience in the housing and local government sectors and has driven significant and lasting service improvement to Morrison contracts in Scotland, the Midlands and the South East.
Commenting on Simon’s appointment Morrison chief executive Guy Wakeley said: “Simon has a fantastic knowledge of the business – both operationally and strategically – and this experience, combined with his strong client facing skills, will be a huge asset in his new role. The South is one of our largest and fastest growing regions with a number of new contract wins already secured this year.”
Simon added: “The South region has a portfolio of thirteen term contracts in and around Greater London and is set to grow considerably over the next 12 months. My role is to continue growing the business across the region and deliver Morrison’s vision and business plan. I have a great team, which works closely with our clients to provide them with the best possible service.”
Morrison is a leading provider of repairs, maintenance and capital projects for councils, housing associations, arms length management organisations (ALMOs) and PFI contracts.
Morrison looks after over 400,000 homes and 4,000 public buildings nationwide on behalf of its clients, employing over 3,000 people in 26 locations.
