Hertford based Riversmead Housing Association, is sponsoring gas safety advice sessions for their building and plumbing contractors as part of their commitment to improving gas safety for its residents.
The ‘toolbox talk’ sessions, led by Riversmead’s gas quality auditor CORGI Services Ltd, will cover the most up-to-date advice and practical tips for local businesses operating in the ever changing landscape of gas standards.
Cait Davison, Gas Safety & Partnering Officer says “We are facing some major changes in the industry particularly with working with a new regulator, Gas Safe Register, and the changing standards of gas safety. It’s important we support our contractors during this period to make sure the ‘hands-on people’ in our residents’ homes are kept up to speed with the latest information.
“Our residents’ safety is of the utmost importance to us. By working alongside our contractors we can help raise gas safety awareness, as well as installing the latest safety devices, such as Carbon Monoxide detectors, in our residents’ homes.”
Local businesses already taking part in the sessions include MCP Property Services, KAA Deadman Builders, JB Willis, Creask Heating, Borras Construction and JA & EV Horwoods.
Matt Clarke, Operations Director, from MCP Property Services
comments “We think it’s great that Riversmead are being
proactive with regards to the safety of their residents by
providing Carbon Monoxide detectors and awareness
training.”
