The Langwood Court apartment scheme The Langwood Court apartment scheme

More from Stephanie Baxter

Excited residents have received their keys to their brand new homes in Langwood Court, Fleetwood – an £800,000 housing scheme consisting of 9 new build apartments available to rent.

Whilst new resident, Patricia Shannon was measuring up for carpets and furniture, she commented, “I’m moving up here from Nottingham to be near my family who all live in Fleetwood, so I’m really looking forward to moving into my new home here. I’m very pleased with the quality of the flat too.”

Steve Newsham, Regenda’s Director of Wyre said, “It’s good to see residents starting to move into the Langwood homes. They are built to an extremely high specification and feature many environmentally friendly attributes which should see residents making savings on their fuel bills. Security features such as secure door entry systems and security lighting have also been fitted as standard.”

The final phase of the Langwood Court scheme will be completed in October this year, when 5 x 3 bedroom new build homes will become available to rent.

About the Langwood Court homes.
The total scheme cost came to £800,000 and were part funded by the Homes & Communities Agency. The flats are built to a high spec and consist of a number of innovative features such as Air Source Heat Pumps which are one of the most efficient ways of heating a home. The apartments have been built to the Code for Sustainable Homes Level 3 which is a Government initiative that means that the schemes impact on the environment is lessened. The scheme has also obtained Secure by Design status which is a Police initiative whereby crime is ‘designed out’ by such features like secure door entry systems, security lighting and defensive planting.
