KHT's Advantage – A success story

In April, Knowsley Housing Trust (KHT) launched its new tenant reward, support and advice package; ‘Advantage’.

The new scheme has been a resounding success and is set to go from strength to strength. KHT tenants are making use of the free AXA helpline, getting discounts in local shops, such as Iceland and Asda, as well as taking part in the training opportunities such as football courses at Everton FC. Tenants and non for profit organisations have also been applying for lots of community grants to help improve their neighbourhoods and the wider community.

Not only are KHT giving these amazing opportunities to tenants who stick to their tenancy agreement, all entered into a free prize draw every quarter.

So far KHT have given away over £8,000 worth of prizes including:

• £2,000 worth of holiday vouchers
• Over £4,000 worth of high street vouchers
• A large screen plasma TV
• Nintendo Wii’s
• Brand new laptops

The Advantage is making a huge impact in the local community and KHT resident and Advantage Champion Barbara White thinks the Advantage is making a big difference:

“We could not have hoped for a better start to the Advantage. However, this is just the beginning. In the next months and years we will be giving away more prizes and give our tenants and communities some fantastic opportunities. The scheme will continue to develop becoming even bigger and better.”
