The Housing Options Affordable New Homes Show in East London last Friday 24th April saw a record number of attendees looking to buy an affordable new home.

Affordable housing providers offering new homes in East London, through schemes such as part-buy, part-rent (known as New Build HomeBuy), exhibited at Stratford Old Town Hall.

One thousand first time buyers attended the show to learn more about the affordable homes available to residents and workers in East London, and get free advice from solicitors and financial advisors. This time last year the show attracted around 350 attendees, which shows that first time buyers in London think now is the best time to buy.

Bernie Conroy, Director at MHO, who are HomeBuy Agent for East London said: "The event has offered real added value and given first-time buyers in East London a one-stop shop to look for a home they can afford.

"The show received nearly 1,000 visitors, and feedback from customers has been extremely positive. Being able to talk directly to experts, including those offering financial advice, provides people who are struggling to get on the property ladder with some hope. Anyone who was unable to attend the event should go to www.housingoptions.co.uk to find out more.”
