Are you a first time buyer keen to find out about affordable housing on offer in East London?

London housing associations and HomeBuy Agents Metropolitan Home Ownership (MHO) and L&Q welcome you to the Housing Option’s East London Affordable New Homes Show taking place on Friday 24 April at Stratford Old Town Hall, 29 The Broadway, Stratford E15 4BQ between 3.00pm and 8.00pm.

This free event brings together major affordable housing providers working in East London, independent financial advisors and solicitors (IFAs) – all on hand to offer expert advice.

With a single visit, Londoners will be able to get the professional advice on how to get onto the property ladder, including detailed information on affordable housing products such as New Build HomeBuy, and Rent to HomeBuy. The IFAs will be able to advise people on how to get a mortgage they can afford, and find the lenders offering the best deals to suit them.

Graeme Moran, Managing Director at MHO, said: “Housing Options is currently receiving a large influx of interest from first time buyers keen to get on the property ladder. This show is an ideal way for us to give Londoners a one stop opportunity to shop for a home they can afford, as well as talk face-to-face with sector experts.

“The current financial climate means more and more people are taking advantage of shared ownership products such as New Build HomeBuy, an alternative, affordable and secure way to get on the property ladder.”

Metropolitan Home Ownership and L&Q have recently been selected by the Government to continue as its HomeBuy Agents, who are the first point of contact for families and single households to buy an affordable home in London. This is one of a number of events planned to help Londoners on low to moderate incomes secure a new home.
