1st May 2009 - Venue Cymru, Llandudno

It's the time of year when we begin seeking nominations for the TPAS Cymru Participation Awards 2009. We were as always impressed by the quality and standard of submissions in 2008, and the challenge is on for all involved in tenant participation across Wales to publicise all of your good work and efforts in your communities. For details of past Participation Award winners click here

We hope to see more examples of the best practice and the benefits which tenants, landlords and communities gain from successful participation. The categories available for 2009 are as follows:

1 The "Val Feld Communication in Housing" Award
a) Tenants
b) Landlords
2 The "Ruth Radley Outstanding Achievement in Participation" Award
3 The "Roy Parry Mainstreaming Tenant Participation" Award

4 The TPAS Cymru Participation Awards
a) Tenant Participation Projects
b) Empowering People to Impropve Services - Tenants and Residents in Action
c) Active Inclusion
d) Successful Participation in Rural Areas
e) Inspirational Colleague
f) Improving the Environment

The process of nomination is straightforward: to nominate another organisation or your own, or an individual, you will need to complete the Nomination Form (available to download from the TPAS Cymru Website) in full and return it with any supporting information by the 24th March 2009.

There are 2 judges for each award, therefore it is important for you to send 2 copies of your submission, including all supporting information.

After receiving your submission, we will send you a confirmation receipt. If you have not received your receipt within 2 weeks of sending your submission in, please contact the TPAS Cymru North Wales office to assertain whether your submission has been received or not.

We hope that you are able to take part in the Participation Awards in 2009 and look forward to receiving you nomination!
